Utah's veterans awaiting the "Mitchell decision" Let's take a look at what did (or did not) happen in the NBA over the last week. The price Minnesota paid to acquire Rudy Gobert from the Jazz set the market, and Durant and Mitchell are players of even higher regard than the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Brooklyn and Utah are looking for a king's ransom for their star scorers. This past week didn't offer much in the way of news on the court, as the NBA remains in a holding pattern of sorts due to Kevin Durant's and Donovan Mitchell's unresolved statuses. As a result, his loss wasn't felt by just the NBA family but by society as a whole.

But for all that he accomplished on the court (he was a Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame member as both a player and a coach), Russell's work in helping to enact social change was of even greater importance. Add in Russell's two national titles at the University of San Francisco, and he was an incredible 21-0 in "winner take all" games (NCAA tournament and NBA Game 7's). His basketball credentials are beyond reproach, as he won a total of 13 titles (11 as a player, two as head coach) as a member of the Boston Celtics. "Partisan organizations putting out blatantly false and disgusting accusations won't stop me from advancing freedom and conservative values," Boebert told Fox News in June 2022.The NBA world received terrible news on Sunday, as it was announced that Bill Russell passed away at age 88. In a statement to Fox News after her attorney sent a letter to the PAC threatening legal action, Boebert said she would not "stand by and pretend this is normal behavior." Wheeler is seeking money damages, any money Boebert earned from her purported defamation of him, and for the media entities to retract the alleged defamatory statements, according to the lawsuit.Ī representative of Boebert did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment on Friday.

He said he'd received death threats and that donations to American Muckrackers tanked following Boebert's media appearances. Wheeler alleged Boebert's legal threats and interviews with media outlets damaged both his and American Muckracker's reputation and violated his First Amendment rights.
